This is the very last June 27, 2008, FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ever. It just kinda makes me all sentimental. Oh. It’s just because it’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will ‘fess up here. I just wrote the 28th of June. I may not know the date, but I do most definitely know that today is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still working on my gift knitting. No report because I can’t give hints without spilling the beans. I keep looking wistfully at the pink sock yarn. I’m trying to be strong because I have a deadline, but you know as well as I do, I am weak and whiney and I will cave. The PurplePi has been relegated to the knitting bag next to my chair. She has gotten way too big to haul around. I’m still in love with her, though, so I will continue. I’m considering the ruffled edge. Do I want it to be lacy or do I want it to be stockinette? The body is mostly stockinette, so I’m thinking a lacy ruffle would be quite lovely. I’m open to your input. I’ve been rock solid on the rest of it and I’m waffling on the edging.
I have been sporadic on the 10 Minutes a Day. I refuse to beat myself up because of it, but I wonder what it will take for me to sit down for 10 lousy minutes and do something I love to do. It’s my monkey brain. I’m already moving along to the next thing while I’m doing the first thing. That is not living with intent. That’s being a goober. Still, I need a bit of time to settle things down in the monkey brain and that’s a matter of getting a few days away from work and that happens next weekend.
I’m sorry I had to run and put Liquid Plumber Gel down the sink and shower. The drains have been running slow. Monkey brain thought I should do it while I was thinking about it. So, it’s now done and the drains are running much better. This Liquid Plumber Gel actually does what it claims to do. I’ve used it twice and it works like a charm. Geez, I sound like an ad. I don’t have stock in the company (whatever company it is). This has to stop, but the monkey brain is hanging from the cerebral cortex and doing whatever the hell it wants.
So, to avoid driving you away too quickly, I’m going to wish you all a fabulous and restful weekend!!!
P.S. I got a great deal on exclamation points, but they have a use-by date so you got them all this morning.

Thank you for announcing with great authority that it is FRIDAY! Hurray! Go with a lace ruffle…it will be a nice flourish to your shawl. Once you find a fiber that speaks to you while you spin you monkey brain will calm.
