I’m the little engine that could. Ms. PurplePi is beating my butt. She is heavy and wool and hot. I know. What would I expect. That, plus the observation by my BB that I have over 3600′ in this shawl right now. Well, it kinda blew my mind. Ya know?
I love her. Really, I do. But, I’m sick of her and she’s sick of me and we’re cranky with each other and when the temps go over 70, I can’t stand for her to touch me. That has slowed things down a tad. Plus, I’m still increasing. You can’t have a ruffle without an obscene number of increases and that’s what is starting to do me in. I might need another needle. Seriously. I cannot leave her where she is right now. I need 3 more rows (at the very least), and I’m not thinking the 2-60″ and 1-24″ are going to be enough. Oh, the angst.
I did finish a sock. My 6 pair of socks in a year sock, but more like 2 or 3 pair in a year at the rate I’m going. That’s ok, though. I don’t really mind. It’s the Tonks colorway by Opal in the Harry Potter series. I love it. Cheery and just a tad off. Size 2 dpns basic sock with picot edging. I think I love the picot edging.

I so enjoyed Alvin Lee on Friday. Let’s repeat that, but with the old band…..Ten Years After. “Rock ‘n Roll Music to the World”
Have a good one!!!!
Tell me what size needle you’re using and I’ll send you one on loan. That way you can finish without needing to buy another. Love that song, but my favorite was Baby Please Don’t Go.
Holy Moly, 2 60″ and 1 24″? and not big enough?
Sweet Margene!
Love your cheery little sock and I know just what you mean about the picot edge, I’m doing some right now too (and wearing another pair with picot as I type)
Happy Monday!
XOXOX
Love the sock – it’s definitely cheery! Is that #1 or #2? Hang in there on the Purple Pi – you can do it.
3600? Holy crap! She’s both big and beautiful. Love the Tonks sock. I need to get back to some good old sock knitting too. Hope you had a great Monday.
Great sock!! Hang in there on the shawl…
Hang in there with Purple Pi. Or maybe knit her in Starbucks. We had our bi-monthly visit Sunday, and I was grateful that I had the Mystery Anniversary shawl to cover my legs; it was in the high sixties outside, and they had the A/C blasting. Knitting the sidways border on this huge circle is about to bore me to tears, but I’m getting there.
Cute sock! I finished a pair last week with the picot edge; I’m hoping for a few more chilly days to try them out and see how I like them.
