Leo Kottke and “Hear the Wind Howl”. I saw him in concert in the 70’s and he played it way faster. I sorta loved the faster version, but this version is still amazing. He sings and plays really complicated stuff. I can’t sing and play the piano. I’m impressed.
Thank you all for your advice on PurplePi. This is one of many things I’m “living with”. I have learned that sometimes it is just best to sit/live with something for a bit before making a decision.
I charged the camera batteries and put them in the camera and it started raining again. I think I have moss growing on my north side. I also smell mildew when I check my breath. This is getting monotonous now. I know there are others with much worse weather, but this is beginning to have an effect on people’s moods and general outlook on life. Plus, I’m wondering about the possibility of flooding. Because, if I can’t look on the bright side of things why bother?
Work seems to be getting slower if that’s possible. I am hoping that, once the weather stabilizes a tad, things will pick up. The good thing is that Grover is adjusting very well. He is fine with Esau Marie all day. Then, when I come home I put him out immediately. He has to go, but is not miserable. YAY! He goes to the cageless kennel on days I can’t get home at a decent time. I can’t make him stay home alone for 10+ hours. That would be cruel. Besides, he loves to go play.
I’m thinking this week will be the start of sorting. I’m not in a hurry. I need to get some of the business taken care of, but I also do not want to wait until the job becomes overwhelming. I think that’s what happened to my Mom. I refuse to leave this for my beloved nieces.
If we get some sunshine, I will take pictures of knitting and stuff. The camera is ready to go. All I need is the sun.
Oh, by the way, it’s Wednesday! Well, if you will excuse me the menagerie is in need of food.
You have a good one!!!!!!!!!!
Taking your time and taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do now. We’re about ready to grow webbed feet, too. But we hear once it changes we’ll be in the usual summer blast furnace.
I guess we’re taking some of the sun away from you over yonder, as we’ve been having some pretty good.
Here’s sending some sun your way so that we can see some pictures.
Give Grover and Esau Marie a hug from me and Frankie
‘They’ keep telling us it’s going to rain here, hasn’t happened. I’d gladly send some of this sunshine your way :^)
As Margene said and I agree, take your time, take care of yourself and Grover and EM. Everything else will be tended to all in good time.
Love Leo. Always have.
I also love thinking about Grover at the cageless kennel, playing :^)
XOXOXOXOX
I don’t mind the rain (usually), but a little sun would make the picture-taking a little easier. Plus we have family coming weekend-after-next, and it would be best if we could shove the four kids outside
We spent part of last weekend going through my father-in-law’s tools, old keychains and miscellaneous containers of nails. I’m grateful that they sold the “homestead” several years ago, because moving them from the little 2-bedroom rental house to an assisted living center last year took all four kids and spouses, plus a couple of grandkids. My MIL still has more to go, since she will likely have to move to a one-bedroom apartment now.
Decluttering can be very overwhelming for older people, especially when they’re moving to a much smaller space and giving up the treasures they’ve had for so long. Kudos for thinking of your nieces!
What a shame you can’t send me your rain. We need it desperately.
I’m so glad you’re taking time and living with Purple Pi for a while. Good luck with the sorting.
