Not margueritas, but wine. A very dear friend introduced me to Lillet, a fortified wine (with brandy no less) from France. I purchased a bottle and shared part of it with my BB and my BSIL. It was yummers. It is an aperitif, so I will not recommend wine glasses like we used. Just wanted to save the dishes. Really. A sophisticated taste with a slice of orange. So refreshing.
Other than that, I had another busy weekend. My dentist glued the crown back on with a new glue that smelled suspiciously like the fake nails you get in salons. I might have ingested some. So far, no reaction, other than the additional toe on my left foot. We figure the crown will last about 2 weeks and then he’ll have to pull it. I refuse to believe that this will last for a long time. My tooth luck doesn’t run like that.
I was working on my stealth Christmas project and noticed a hole about 25 rows below my working row. I examined it and put the project down and went to do something else. I told you the Pissyfairy has been coming to my house. I came back about a half hour later and ripped it back. This poor thing is going to be worn out before it’s ever given. Does a cashmere/lambswool blend wear out fast? I sure hope not. I’d hate to have to give the remaining pieces as a gift.
Did you take advantage of the outside this weekend? I did. It was amazing. We have had virtually no summer. We had a week of temps in the 90’s. That’s it. Our highs have been running in the 80’s. Resort weather. I have been outside whenever I could get out. I’m trying to stock up on summer weather before the winter sets in.

The wine sounds fabulous. I have to walk away and throw a tantrum before I come back and rip knitting, too. I have faith in your dentist and I think your crown will last…it will! Storing up summer is a good idea. I’ve got plenty this year! Smokey got me dancin’ today…that was great.

Hello there, glad to hear you had a great weekend. I hope the crown stays put and lasts for many, many years. The wine sounds dangerous… any alcoholic beverage that tastes good just screams, “Danger!” I think that cashmere blends just get warmer with use, frogging. At least, I hope so because I’ve a cashmere/merino blend here that’s getting lots of “breaking in”. Hope you have a lovely week.
that wine/aperitif sounds yummy, I’ll have to check it out! It’s been miserably hot here and supposed to get even hotter this week (mid 90s!!!). My goal this week is to simply stay cool and to make sure my kitty does too. I’m a little worried about him in a stuffy house, but I do come back at lunch to feed/check on him.
