FRIDAY POST. surprise!

It’s Friday again. Here in Middle Earth, I have cut the grass every week since forever (it feels that way). I was going to feed my grass and plants, but now think I may do that before the first snow. I do not want to encourage the pissyfairy anymore. I swept the back deck and there was about a gallon’s worth of helicopters. It’s a seedy spring;-D Our weather is due to change, but I’m not going to complain (much more) because at least we didn’t have the incredible snow that Norma had.   So, the weekend will be changeable.  Stormy and warm.  That’s fine.  I cut the grass yesterday, but had to wear a mask because the allergens were so bad.  That is absolutely the only reason I don’t like cutting the grass.   I’m very allergic to it.  So, this time I caved and wore the mask.  The only thing is that the mask is hot and it’s kinda hard to get oxygen through the stupid thing.   But, at least when I am done cutting the yards, I can still breath.  I know.  Whinewhinewhine.

My hybrid ruffled yellow iris is  finally blooming.  It took all week.  A bit of serendipity to have a gorgeous bloom last Sunday.   I do love these guys.

Please have a wonderful weekend all.   Celebrate, relax, enjoy.     Here’s my soundtrack today.  Another child video of the Who and “I Can’t Explain”

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

You’re ingenious! Wearing a mask, being able to breath at the end…it’s so smart. Pat yourself on the back. Your iris are so lovely! It will be a few weeks before we see any blooms. We’re having snow and cold as if it were still winter. Come on spring!

Happy Friday! The helicoptor seed pods have little hairs that are impossible to get out once they imbed in one’s fingers. I can’t imagine what would happen if some of them managed to break free and swirl down the depths of someone’s lungs (okay, so they need to be touched, but still…) Happy Friday again.

What a purdy, purdy iris! Glad to see things blooming in Middle Earth, since I’ll be driving through it in a few weeks :) I’ll be thinking of you and Grov and Miss EM and all your lovely flowers as I drive through your state!

Good for you for putting on the mask – it’s all about making you comfortable, even if it’s uncomfortable having it on temporarily. It’s been a pretty itchy, sneezy kinda of season over here too.

    Happy Friday!

Lovely iris! So far, only my very earliest one is open, but I’m seeing buds on a few others, so there’s hope. Here’s hoping the weather’s less “interesting” than the weather doofs are sayin’ – have a great weekend!

Wow. See, I hate wearing those masks because I just can’t seem to breath while wearing them… hmmm.
those helicopters/propellers, pesky and yes, zillions of them at mom’s. 5 big bags full. quite the crop.
LOVE that iris, what sort of scent does it have? they’re all (colours) a bit different aren’t they :^)
    Happy Friday, Happy Weekend! XOX

Good for you! So important to be able to breathe during and after the yard work. I’m so sorry that you’re allergic to grass. I remember those days. It was a nightmare.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your irises!

    xo
