My BSIL sent me this pic of the shawlette I knit for her for Christmas this year. Here is her “Plume” by Lisa Mutch.
I stopped after the second contrast pattern because she doesn’t like big shawls. This lays perfectly on her shoulders and the colors are a bit warmer than shown on my monitor. I enjoyed this knit immensely. I loved watching it grow. There was no lace (new to me), but the construction made it endlessly entertaining. I will knit it again. The main color yarn in variegated light browns is Hiwassee Creek Dyeworks “Sand Dune”. Perfectly lovely to work with. She has an Etsy shop. The warm dark brown is “Waikiwi” by Naturally Handknit Yarns. It was knit on size 6 needles.
Oh, and by the way? Happy New Year all!!!!

Lovely – I’ve recently discovered the appeal of smaller shawls too, both from the knitting and wearing angles. Happy New Year!
