Ten on Tuesday

OK.  I lied.  I don’t really feel like doing 10.  That would require thought and planning and more thought.  I don’t wanna.  It’s not like I don’t have ten things I can talk about.  I can talk about (we are NOT talking intelligently) lots of things.  Lots of stuff.  But, the essence of the problem is “thought”.  I’m bored by the commercialism of the Olympics.  The incredible wealth of these “so-called amateur athletes”.  So, I won’t talk about that.    I’m trying to read two books, but I go to sleep before I get through a page, so it won’t be about that.  I’m closing in on the end of Sleeve I.  Sleeve II will come shortly after.  Much like Thing I and Thing II in CAT IN THE HAT.  And, no, I do not have a WOCKET IN MY POCKET, so just cut that out.   The weather is warming up and I itch with every fiber of my being right now.  This is August, ragweed time, end of the wicked allergy season, so everything comes to a peak right now.  I think that’s my real problem.  I itch.  My eyes burn.  I can’t breath.  I can’t hear (yell when you talk to me).  Not my best time.  But, yet I still feel content and pretty darned happy.  Just mildly inconvenienced.  The hummingbirds are feeding heavily in preparation for their long journey south.  We will enjoy them until mid to end September when they leave on their winter trip.  What sturdy and wonderful little crabby butts they are.

Oh, my point?  Do I need one?  Don’t be disappointed.  This is how I talk.  Not many of us are blogging this week.  Several people are off and having fun, others are very busy in more serious ways.  I miss everybody.  I also appreciate those who are blogging right now.  You are filling a void.  I miss my blogs and bloggers when they go away to have “lives”.   Hurry back everybody.

Now, knitting.   The sleeve is longer than yesterday.  It is also warmer and stickier today.  I DON’T CARE!!!!  I am knitting a cardigan.  So what, if the temps are climbing and getting awfuller.  I DON’T CARE!!!!  I want a warm sweater jacket and will need one by the time I get this sucker finished.  I also need to be more careful about my exclamation points.  They may have been on sale, but I wasn’t able to buy them in bulk.  I need to slow down a bit.

My soundtrack today?  I am hearing the Chambers Brothers and “Time”

Have a good one!

I miss blogland but grrl, we’re SO busy and haven’t spent much time at home near a computer. I’m ready to sleep for a week! Soon all the kids will be in school (Monday here!) and we’ll be back to regularly scheduled posting. Miss you most of all!

I hope your allergies are gone soon. That is miserable.

Ok, don’t come visit me in August. I have lots of ragweed around here, and in my garden, although I keep trying to eradicate it. Sorry your allergies are so bad!

Allergies suck. I miss blogging, but I’m buried with the mundane and zucchini. Hugs to you all.

I don’t care what the weatherman says; I’m swatching for the Druid Mittens and planning legwarmers for the walks to the mail center this January (because I’m just that stylish and I was around to wear them when they were hip…and because I remember the -20 degree walks from last winter.)

I keep meaning to post to my craft blog, but I barely manage a few posts a week to my journal. Too much going on, and it’s been too nice here in St. Louis to be inside unless absolutely necessary. Like when I’m at work, which I should be leaving for now. Darn it.

Well, hello my friend! I have been missing for about 3 months and feeling very sorry for myself. I miss you and Grover more than I can say-I hope all is well and drop me a note at my email address as I haven’t gotten to update my blog. Oliver sends woofs to his pal too. I like your new blog-very nicely done.-knitinggal (Donna)

On sale? Where? I need to load up because winter is coming. I also need/want/really want to make pickles, but I see that as a chance to blog about something that isn’t cryptic or a rant… or a sock.

I have a sweater’s worth of black wool that needs to be knit into a sweater, but the thought of working with it makes me itchy and crankier.

Thank you for continuing to blog. It’s getting quiet out there.

    xo
