Poor EM. She lives such a difficult life. Look at this face.
No, wait a minute. That’s not the face she wants me to show you. Let’s try this one.
Now, she’ll claim that it is entirely because she’s so distraught, but actually she’s watching the camera strap. She’s a drama queen. Just not a very bright one.
See? She’s just a big old fraud. How can she claim unhappiness when a camera strap thrills her? Silly old kitty.
Busy weekend. I must tell you about the cemetery. My BB, BSIL and I all went to the cemetery on Saturday to get a picture of Dad’s headstone so that we could match it for Mom, as closely as possible. It had rained a couple of hours before we went. We had a camera and cell phones. When we got there, Dad’s headstone was completely covered in mud. An inch or so. BB, in a moment of problem solving brilliance, got a branch and scraped the headstone. It left a 1/4″ to 1/2″ layer of mud. That’s when my BSIL went to her car and got a very small box of tissues and tried to wipe it off. By this time, BB, BSIL and I were laughing pretty hard. Anyway, they had gotten the majority of the mud off,but you could not see the writing or anything, so I went in search of a container for water. I found a fairly new flexible orange traffic cone and held the bottom and filled it with water. I got a goodly amount of the mud off, but BB wanted to get more, so he went back with the cone and started to fill it up again. After exclaiming that he could drool into the cone faster than the water was filling, the water ceased to flow. I have photographic evidence, but no signed releases. Lord help us, we were wet, muddy and laughing our butts off, but we got the shots and probably amused our deceased parents no end. And, we all thought we would be all weepy and everything.
And, since it’s Monday, and I’m not really sure what happened to the weekend, either, I will leave you with my soundtrack of the day. Cream and “Tales of Brave Ulysses”.
Have a good one!!!!!!!!!!
