Some of us think FRIDAY is part of a reality show

And, some of us don’t. Personally, I have no time for reality shows. Oh, it’s not that I’m a snob or anything. I just have the interest span of a gnat and can’t seem to watch anything longer than 30 minutes (if that). And, hey, did you know it’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Look how excited Mr. Grover is

IMG_0007OK.  He’s sleeping, but when he was awake and I told him, he was very excited.  Really.  Because it’s Friday and I’m home with him (for the most part).  Because, it’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a very weak and lame week for me.  Not because I’m a whiner (and I am), but because I found a sweater pattern that I simply fell in love with and had to have from Twist Collective.  It’s Low Tide Ripples by Suvi Simola.  I have the pattern and have ordered yarn from Webs that is very similar (in color) to the one used, but a whole lot less expensive.  I’m excited.  There are so many gorgeous cardigans, but fewer distinctive pullovers.  I do love this one.  I’m not so much a cardi person.  I will finish my Cosmo cardi before starting my Low Tide Ripples.  I need sweaters.  Bad.

Ok, people.  This is the absolute last weekend in August and in the so-called summer of 2009.  Are you doing anything fun?  Are you enjoying yourselves?  I sure hope so, because Mr. Grover (aka Mr. Excitement) will come and lean on you and drool on you if you are not taking advantage of it.  I mean it.  We’re taking names.

To send you on your way, here’s The Kinks (and, the ever adorable Ray Davies) with “All Day and All the Night”

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am ignoring that fact that this is the last weekend of summer. I have a feeling our heats going to stick around. But, I am very ready for the weekend. That sweater is darling and it will be fun to knit, too. Sweaters, sweaters we make for ourselves, are such a joy to wear (and show off). Happy Weekend to you! How nice it starts today!

Neat sweater – can’t wait to see it 😉 Hope Grover isn’t overly stressed out …

I just wanna give Grover a big ol’ hug seeing that photo!

That is a cute sweater – the sleeve area is pretty too! That should be a great project. The reminder that we’re at the close of summer is making me think of fall knitting too. I should pull out my cardi and get knitting on that too.

    Have a great weekend!

Just send the Boy on over, let the drooling and leaning commence. I welcome it :^)
Oooh, that sweater. I’ve spent a fair amount of time dreaming over that one too. Great choice! Gorgeous colour, mmmmm.
I’m ripping 5,510 stitches out (it’s only 4 inches long!) and starting over. Hopefully I’ll have close to that number by the end of the weekend… but probably not. (as she kicks her own arse). Seriously. Send The Boy.
    Happy Weekend to YOU!!! XOX

Happy Friday Dear Heart! I hope that you enjoy this last weekend in August to its fullest. The sweater is very pretty and you’d look fabulous in it. Hope that work is going well.

He wore himself out being excited, didn’t he? Poor baby.

Great sweater! Love the details on that one and looking forward to seeing your version.

Cookie took my answer. Like almost word for word.

  8. What a big baby doll! Don’t you love how those large babies look like such sweeties when they’re sleeping. It’s one of my fav looks on Tucker! lol

I’m not a reality show watcher myself and I’m longing for something other than socks to catch my knitterly eye but for right now I just gotta hang in there.

Glad to hear things are going well for you. Love you all!
