GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I have your attention. I know it’s hard getting up on Mondays. Lordy, do I know it’s hard. But, we must and so we shall. Well, obviously I have already gotten up and so have you since you’re reading this. Oh, never mind.

I have been placed on the Disabled List for the Tour de Fleece.   I hurt my right hip (not spinning related) and it hurts a gob to treadle.  I have turned to spindle spinning, but I’m working on the brown I started on in the winter.   If you think I’m slow on the wheel, you should see me on the spindle.  Oh, well.  I’m still spinning and that makes me smile.

I’ve also been knitting.   I had started a red scarf for the Orphan Project that Norma has adopted.   I believe it is an excellent concept and Juniper Moon Farms offered specially dyed yarn just for the project so I’ve been working away on it.   I’m using the Corrugator pattern again.  It is a wonderful unisex pattern.  It is a worsted weight yarn so I’m motoring away on it.   I’ll get a picture as soon as I finish it.

And for my Monday morning soundtrack?   I heard this on the radio this weekend.  I loved this song and hearing it again brought back so many wonderful memories and reminded me how much I loved it.   Here is an amazingly innovative band , String Driven Thing and “Circus”

If that doesn’t get you moving, I don’t hold out much hope for you today!

It’s a little hard to face Monday especially at this hour, but Friday is a holiday and I took next Monday off, too!!!!! I never even made the Team Cranky as I was/am just too cranky to even pull out the wheels and get them started. Oh well, there’s always next year.

I’m so sorry that you’re not feeling up to wheel spinning. I hope the hip feels better soon. Slow spinning still counts, ya know. (I’ve given up on trying to convince our Margene that joining the team is enough.)

How is it Monday? Where did our weekend go?

    xo

Yep. That tune will get you up and going!
Yikes on the hip, rest it well and don’t go insulting the injury. no good will come of that.
it was 90F at 10something last night and that is just wrong.
I have one yard down this morning and on my way to the next.
(ok, a bit of a cheat… did just the front but did neighbour’s front also, my backyard can wait til tomorrow but after seeing mom’s yesterday? won’t wait. bah!)
    Happy Monday with XOXOXOX

Once you’re past the major owie stage with the hip, be sure you stretch it well before treadling. I can’t spin without aches and pain unless I take the time for full-body stretches. My bod can’t put up with abuse like it used to.

So are we going to the circus? 🙂

Exclamation points on a Monday- You must be overstocked.

Lil liza and I did not have any horseshoe crab capes but maybe next year.

Sorry to hear about the hip – hope it heals soon! Love that the hip injury isn’t taking you out of tour de fleece and you’re continuing on the spindle – you go girl!!! 🙂

  7. I hope the hip is healing okay! Sometimes it is nice to be forced to slow down and use the spindle. I know I rarely do unless I *have* too, but yet it is still an enjoyable process.

  8. Joy says:

Sorry about the hip – NOT fun! Take care of it and heal quickly. Doesn’t sound like the weather’s any fun down there either – stay safe.
