He even stands in front of me, protecting me from the mean old stove. I think he prevents food from getting to me which might endanger my well-being. Here is the first shot. It was my action shot.
It’s an action shot, because it’s blurry. Also, notice how intently he is watching the floor. I have not personally ever seen food materialize on the floor from nowhere, but I don’t pay as close attention to the floor as Grover does. I don’t have any action shots of Stinky. She’s not an action kinda girl. She’s more of a nappy kinda girl. It’s hibernation time around here.
Grover was helping me with my turkey carcass soup. I have a hint for those who cook with gluten free pasta. Don’t over cook it. Here is my turkey carcass soupish/gelatinish sorta stuff. It tastes fine, but the consistency is a bit off-putting.
So to send you off on your way this wonderful Wednesday, here is my soundtrack for the day……
CSN and “Blackbird”. Enjoy and have a great Humpy Day!!!!
Oh yes, that’s the secret with anything GF, error on the side of undercooked. Soup is the perfect winter dinner. In my kitchen food does seem to materialize on the floor. My boys know right were it will pop up.
Have you heard Steven Stills solo songs written and recorded before CSN got together? He’s great!
Time to look at the glasses script- I thought at first the woup was a little “of pudding.”
I love Grover.
LOVE the pictures of your kitchen helper. We never had cleaner floors than when we had a dog. Their housekeeping skills are greatly under-rated, imo. I love turkey soup, but I must admit that the texture of the gf might be hard for me to swallow. I can’t eat jello or anything that feels slippery. It’s a quirk. I hope you have an absolutely wonderful Wednesday!
I have a kitchen helper, too, who is always right where I am especially when sharp knives and hot ovens are involved. Bonus if there’s chicken being cooked. Very helpful, indeed. 🙂
Thank goodness he is there to protect you. ;^)
Yep, know what you mean about the kitchen helper – I even had a couple of extra ones over Thanksgiving. I also find timing everything to come out together a bit tricky, so usually cook any pasta separately, then add it to the soup 🙂
Love your helper – I have a selective kitchen helper, but it doesn’t mean he still doesn’t roam the floor hoping to find some yummy morsel left behind from someone 🙂
It’s totally soup weather and I’m loving it. I’ve been trying a few different ones and now have a good mix to rotate through during these cold months. I haven’t tried gf pasta, but if it does have a gelatinous consistency, like heidiho I can’t do jello or anything jelly-ish, so perhaps I won’t enjoy it (but turkey soup is so yummy!).
