Serendipity

I was out running errands this morning. Very slowly because I have vertigo once again. le sigh. Anyway, I was driving to the butcher shop for Groverthewonderpup food ingredients and I was stopped at a light by a police officer in a reflective vest.  At first I was worried that it was for something horrible. You know how hideous the world is these days. And, getting hideouser by the minute.
Anyway, I was sitting thinking “huh”, when the policeman closed down the intersection. Shortly thereafter I heard loud music and saw a convertible with a small girl sitting in the back waving at everyone.  After the car, followed a group of teenage girls in black and orange outfits waving pompoms and I knew it was the homecoming parade.

homecoming 2013As you can see, I am about 5 cars back, but I could see enough to enjoy their infectious excitement and just plain energy.   There were two wee ones (about 3 or 4) near me jumping up and down with excitement.  It lasted about 15 minutes and my spirit was lifted  by it.   What a treat.

So sorry about the vertigo – hope it passes quickly! Parade sounds neat – black & orange – where the heck were you?

Your feeling were of joy and excitement.I’m not sure I would have been as happy about it. Hope your bout of vertigo passes quickly! Can you do anything for it? Is it the stuff where a movement of the head will clear it up?
