I need more weekend. That’s all there is to it.

And, you know.  If the economy continues on this path, I very well may get it.  Dudes.

I hurt my middle (the fun) finger yesterday.  I have no idea, but I gouged the heck out of it.  It is a deep and icky cut.  And,  I don’t know what I did.  That is so me.  Anyway.  Now, I’m having difficulty doing things like knitting or crocheting.  Mostly knitting.  So, I got nothin’ to show today.

These are my Christmas socks from BSIL.  I actually wore them yesterday.  I think they are wonderful, warm and cheery.  What more could anyone ask for in a sock?

OMG!  Today is Groundhog Day, isn’t it?  That means if the groundhog sees it’s shadow, there’s 6 more weeks of winter, but if it doesn’t, then spring is only 6 weeks away, right?  Who the hell thought that baby up?  I’m probably wrong, but as you have guessed by now, I don’t care.  It’s still a stupid tradition in my book.  That poor groundhog in Pennsylvania. They haul it out of its den and hold it up like some sort of trophy.  I wish the little guy would bite the hell out the dork that disturbs its sleep.  I know that that is what Lil here at the St. Louis Zoo does.  They don’t bother her at all anymore because she’s so cranky.  Ya gotta love ‘er.

My soundtrack for today is more Jethro Tull.  Music as theatre. I love “Locamotive Breath”.  This has one of my all time favorite piano riffs.  The minute I hear the piano on the radio, it gets cranked up loud!  Enjoy

Have a good one.

Oh yes! Ground Hog Day. I don’t care for or believe in this day at all! However, I am looking forward to spring (as usual) and know it is just around the corner. Happy Monday! Bleh.

Well according to “tradition” we’ll have more winter. I’m ready for spring, damnit!

I felt sorry for the little critter being dragged out and held out and frightened by all those flashes… I wish he’d bite someone too 😉

Sorry to hear about your gash on such an important finger (heh). It’s weird when you get gashes and have no idea when or how it happened.

For some reason I always associate Ground Hog Day with a feeling of depression.

    Cute sox!

Oh, honey, I feel ya. I’ve got a huge black and purple bruise on my upper thigh and I have no clue how I got it. o.0

Thank you! I always feel so sorry for that groundhog. No one wants to be pulled out of their warm bed in the wee tiny hours of the morning. Never mind being forced to deal with the media right afterward.

Ouch! Maybe you were sword fighting in your sleep. I had my students write a few sentences about and draw picture of a groundhog. Your red socks look warm and cheery on this drab, winter day.

Lovin’ those pretty socks, they look so warm and comfy, downright Cheerful! Brighten a winter day for sure.
oh noooooo, not the fun finger! heh, sword fighting in your sleep.

I can’t imagine any self respecting groundhog NOT getting extremely cranky being woken in the middle of winter. what? oh, dear, I think I may be part groundhog.
