The Ides of January!!!!!!!! And, it’s Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not sure there is an ides of January that is meaningful (like March), but I don’t really care either.   And, it is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh, friends, this is a much needed day.  My week has felt about a month long.   The sad thing about it is that I only work 4 days.   Still, it will give me time to stock up on the Grammar sale.   I never know which week in January to look for the sales, but there was a flyer in last Sunday’s paper, so out I go today to buy exclamation points, question marks, quotation marks  and parentheses.   I hope you all know you do not have to buy a period or comma.   Those come free with every pack of the others.   I’m stocking up big time!!

I have been too busy this week to spin or knit.   My goodness.  I don’t mind being busy, but several nights in a row are exhausting.  That, plus Grover and I are upping our walking times and he has been a much better pup.   He spent the day at the cageless kennel on Tuesday and did not start or get into one single fight.   What a relief.   Nobody (especially me) needs an aggressive 130 pound dog.   We will be walking this morning for as long as possible…..or, until I need to hurry up and get my errands run.

No pictures today.  The bitter cold and dark skies of last week gave way to warmer temperatures and dark skies.   My photography skills suck when it’s sunny, so no crappy pictures today.

I want you all to have a wonderful and grateful weekend.   I don’t know why Haiti is tortured so (and, I refuse to honor Pat Robinson with any comments about his horrific assessment of the situation), but the entire country and all the people (no matter where they may be right now) are in my prayers.   Please keep them in your thoughts and send good vibes their way.

To leave you on a cheerful note, here is my soundtrack for this day.  I love Sam Cooke’s voice and his musical talent was legendary.  So was the way he died.  This is one of my favorites by Sam. …..”Another Saturday Night”

Have a wonderful weekend.  I’ll see you Monday!!!!

I have all the same excuses. Too busy in the evening to knit, too dark to take pictures, too little desire and too much January. I’m so looking forward to February! Sam Cooke is awesome!

Sam… sing it again. what a voice.
Haiti… location location location. My heart and prayers go out to them all. I believe that some real estate on our planet should be left in a more simple state simply due to the nature of the planet. (believe me, I’m not being snarky, I am grieving deeply for everyone there)

It’s been hard watching the news. The local news here have been trying to establish contact with a gal from this area who worked with disabled children at ano rphanage there in Haiti whose family haven’t heard whether she was ok and I’ve been keeping her in my thoughts. This morning on the news, the sad reality of what happened to her was disclosed and I was heartbroken. The longer it has been since the earthquake happened, the more bad news is coming out.

I’m trying to keep the knitting momentum going, mostly to keep busy and to just continue w/ my goal this year to knit more. I chose a rather complicated pattern for some socks, but it’s certainly keeping my attention 🙂

Have a great Friday, my dear. Love scritches to the furbabies.
